Founder’s Testimony
Throughout my childhood and into my adult years, I experienced many obstacles and traumas that I tried to carry on my own. Over time, the weight of those experiences became too heavy. Worry turned into impulsive behaviors, and those behaviors eventually led to depression.
Everything changed when I came to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
I encountered the Lord during one of the most difficult moments of my life while in a dangerous domestic situation where I truly believed I might lose my life. In that moment, Jesus rescued me in more ways than one. Not only did He save me from my abuser, but He also saved me from my sins. Through His sacrifice and the power of His love, I experienced the life-changing grace of God.
A dear Sister in Christ—who has since gone home to be with the Lord—once shared with me about the unconditional love of Jesus. Though many years have passed, I will never forget how God used her to plant a seed in my life that would later transform my heart.
Since surrendering my life to Christ, He has never failed me. He has carried me through some of the darkest valleys and given me strength in my weakest moments. His peace, which surpasses all understanding, continues to guide my life and strengthen my faith.
“We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.” Philippians 4:13
God came to my rescue.
The scripture that became the foundation for God To My Rescue Ministries is found in Psalm 118:5–7, which reminds us that when we call upon the Lord in our distress, He hears us, rescues us, and brings us into a place of freedom and victory.
Psalm 118:5-7 from the Christian Standard Bible (CSB) highlights finding confidence in God during distress. The verses read: "I called to the LORD in distress; the LORD answered me and put me in a spacious place. The LORD is for me; I will not be afraid. What can a mere mortal do to me? The LORD is my helper; therefore, I will look in triumph on those who hate me.
God truly came to my rescue, and through this ministry my prayer is that others will come to know the same hope, healing, and unconditional love that can only be found in Jesus Christ..
